white sails winding towards eden
you can say farewell to your arms now
because there’s nothing but everything—freedom
that’s everything
to us
though before hopping on
pass the city you’ve grown weary of onto the shoreline
leave the sailboat where it lies
and feel the water in need of wanting you to go wherever the wind keeps pushing it
you’ll find out you just won’t sway
and will stand firm in the sand because you’ll never be as free
you just can’t
unless you try hard enough
because you were born to be free here
unlike the place that sailboat is taking us
so, if we ever get to choose
I’d want my soul to be buried here
and here i want to stay, for eternity
i want nothing more
than this
