Tosturi duw Song Lyrics
Tosturi duw by Aled Jones Mae ehangder yn ei dostur
Fel ehangder mawr y môr,
Mae tiriondeb at bechadur
Yng nghyfiawnder Arglwydd Iôr.
Nid oes man lle teimlir galar
Fel yn nefoedd Duw ei hun,
Nid oes lle i fethiant daear
Dderbyn barn mor deg ei llun.
Dyma ras i fil o fydoedd
Cymaint a'n bydysawd ni,
Dyma digon yn noes-oesoedd
I'r preswylwyr penna'u bri;
Cans mae cariad Duw'n helaethach
Na mesurau meddwl dyn
Ac mae calon yr Anfeidrol
Yn rhyfeddod nef ei hun.
Ond cyfyngir ar ei gariad
Gan derfynau ofer dyn
A mawrygir ei fanylrwydd
Gydag, aidd nas mynn Ei hun.
Pe bai'n cariad ninnau'n symlach
Digon fyddai'i air i ddyn,
Byddai bywyd oll yn heulwen
Ym melyster Duw ei hun.
God's Mercy
His mercy is wide,
As wide as the great sea;
There is compassion towards sinners
In God's own justice.
There is nowhere where mourning is felt
Move than in God's own heaven;
Nowhere can the failings of mankind
Receive so fair a judgment.
Here is grace for a thousand worlds
As large as our own sphere,
Here is enough for eternity
For the men of highest accolade;
For God's love is greater
Than the measures of man's mind,
And the love of the Immortal
Is the wonder of heaven itself.
Yet the narrow mind of man
Lays bounds on his love.
And his prominence is enlarged
By a zeal that He does not wish.
If only our love were more simple
Then His word to man would be enough;
Life would then be all sunshine
In the sweetness of God Himself.
