Burning each box of stamp-less letters of romance
That I could never send
Constantly reaching for something
My hands couldn't hold
Though it brings me hope
To know that my heart can't find a new low
I've fallen so far down from this warm winter sun
For I've been buried inside since that last parting of lips
Beneath a broken streetlight in a dying autumn twilight
She's my exploding star
Raining pain on this darkened life
My thoughts scream
Bury her
Burn her
Let her fade to a poetry book entitled
"Of love and loss"
And I'll never stop reading
Until I decay
I have learned that love was born to die
This broken heart won't mend
