From The Dirt
When I was alive I saw nothing but the sun,
In all it’s light it was never enough,
But it’s always there
No matter what I did,
I could never escape
Until that day, I thought it was a crush
Something small, that would never mean much
Soon to know,
I was born to be killed,
And buried in the dirt,
From which I will rise
From the dirt
I will rise
Through all forms of life
I will survive
Unable to die
What once was a curse
Was a life in disguise
What didn’t want, is now me key to life
But my life now, comes in more then one form
I spread my seed, in the dirt which I lie
And live multiple lives
Immortal I stand, Immune to all pain
I feed of the earth and some feed off of me
My stem rarely breaks, and I leave in the fall
But I’m always here, thanks to the sun god
From the dirt
I will rise
Through all forms of life
I will survive
Unable to die
What once was a curse
Was a life in disguise
