The road is so quiet, and the lights keep me in the mood. It’s kinda like
space. Because it’s so silent and the headlights look like stars from this
view. But on the road the static will put me to sleep. I won’t leave without
you. I don’t care if you want me to. This ride home is never ending. I say I’m
fine but I’m just pretending. If I wrote a letter in the sand and wave washed
it up, would it get to you before I can? Cause time just won’t go fast enough
and I’m starting to believe that there’s no point in the choppy verse when my
words get washed to sea. Oh the static will put me to sleep, when my words are
getting washed out to sea. I’ve counted every painted line and marked down
every exit sign. I swear we’ll be alright, it’s worth the fight. I’m coming
back to you. I won’t leave without you. I don’t care if you want me too. This
ride home seems never ending, I say I’m fine but I’m just pretending.
