The state of the black man in America is a travesty, we shouldn’t be living how we living;
Got us caged up in penitentiaries, our youth headed for nowhere;
School systems no budget and they wanna pack us in these damn ghettos, how are we supposed to live would you please tell me;
I grew up in the ghetto I seen a single baby mother, who tried to work so the 8 roll watched dey baby brother;
Named Shane he was 3 and saw dey parents fucking, now he in the house tryna grind on his older sister;
But he ain’t no better he was just a ghetto child, living the life of a hoodlum since he got older now;
At 14 his dad left and wouldn’t hold him down, his mom was strung out on crack and didn’t come around;
Now he gotta live his life in the ghetto, watchin’ prostitutes walk around in pumps and stelettos;
He had to get money to put clothes on his back, so he asked a guy name Rob to front him a pack;
And there it was now he was wrapped up in the game, but clueless about the streets man he’s just needed some change;
Shane ain’t know about Mossburg pumps, until one day he got robbed and was shot by one man dis the GHETTO
Damn guns, drugs, violence, all engulf our community;
But nobody, nobody will stand up and show the single problem in the black community;
We are down trodden, don’t wanna work, we have no strive;
We love to live at the bottom, I ain’t never met nobody who love to live at the bottom;
Now this a story ‘bout a girl named Jessica (who), who had a low self-esteem cause nobody messed with her;
They used to always talk about her dreads, so the only way she reached pleasure was opening her legs;
At 13 Jessica lost her virginity, letting people crawl right in her like centipedes;
She ain’t worry bout getting infected by a disease, so she ain’t use protection like condoms was enemies;
Jessica ran the streets so she dropped out of school, just because she wanted to run around town with a dude;
Named James the rumor was that James had aids, Jessica heard about it and had sex with him anyway;
She forgot about the rumor and went back to school, and found out dat the rumor bout James was true;
Then she started to feel ill herself, so wit a baby inside her Jessica killed herself man dis the GHETTO
Wow I ask myself when will we stand up, when will we come together as one single people and stand up for self;
Preach the truth love of the black community, love of the black man and woman, love love the black children, love of mind, self, body and peace;
Growing up in the streets where it ain’t nothing but life in the fast lane, my homies dat gangbang fell off in the dope game;
But see dat all lead to the same place, it’s kinda sad that he died all I can do is remember his face;
Got tooken out cause of da dope game, when all he wanted was to hang an off the caine make a little change;
But see that ended in the worst way, it’s kinda sad that the glory done took the life of my friend to pay;
I seen him ride off in a black hurst, and see my man never thought that it would ever be his life first;
He had a squabble with the Grimm Reaper, and took a round to his chest and now the story’s steady getting deeper;
They said it fell behind the dope game, it’s kinda funny when it’s black it’s automatically a crack thang;
And I ain’t even gotta wonder why, cause to the cops it ain’t nathan that’s why I hate to see my brothers die da GHETTO
Oh my people it is time, I say again it is time;
To stand up and preach the truth, to teach everyone
From Barack Obama, to the 5% Nation of Islam, to the fruits of Islam, to the 85’ers;
This is real, the future of America is the black man
