I wander past the broken bones
I walk the streets that once we owned
I wander where I used to play
And wonder how we reached this day
Everywhere I go
It's the same old situation
Everyone I know
It's the same old conversation
Rushing fighting biting bloody noses everywhere
Is this really what you want
I ask you in all seriousness
Everything I hear
Is about the desperation
And everything held dear
Ends in wanton desecration
Smashing crashing breaking bloody mindlessness is everywhere
Is this what we really want
I ask you in all seriousness
I wander past the broken bones
I walk the streets that once we owned
I wander where we used to play
And wonder how we reached this day
I see the iron covered doors
I see my neighbours are no more
I see no end to all this mess
I let it go I must confess
I saw the flags and bunting fly
We drank and ate some apple pie
We celebrated in the street 'till dark
And conga'd 'cross into the park
I wonder where it all went wrong
I miss the place where I belong
I wander where I used to play
And wonder how we reached this day
