Dreaming or fighting,
Or planning your life,
Smiling or crying
You’re just killing time.
But time has no mercy
It’s taking away
All that you have gained,
All your glory and shame.
Grim fire of Time
Just burns to the ash
Your name and your memory,
Your soul and your flesh.
No power, no gold
Can make you forget
About Sword of Time,
That is over your head!
Time is often too fast
And often too slow,
And nobody knows
When it strikes its blow.
Unspoken desires...
Not tasted delights...
Broken illusions
And eternal night.
Some drawn their sorrow
In wine and delights,
Others believe
In their merciful fate
Some look for glory,
Some look for a fight,
Some look for wisdom,
But always too late.
What for all this fighting,
All words, thoughts and lusts,
If Time drowns them in darkness
And turns them to dust?
When your time is over
You just feel deceived.
What will be your estate?
Just ashes you leave!
Kings, heroes and slaves
Once meet sunset of life
And fall down, overtaken
By the Sword of Time.
But who is its master?
And what was his price
For key to eternity
And for Sword of Time?
Will there ever come
The one who can win
Eternal chains of doom
And destiny’s whirls?
One who can fight
Sorrow inside,
Fears of death
And frustrations of life!
Some drawn their sorrow
In wine and delights,
Others believe
In their merciful fate
Some look for glory,
Some look for a fight,
Then (they) all disappear
In black oceans of night.
