A haven, the forest was
And their home was on the earth
There was wonder in the vines and
Each flower had its worth
Then it took them away
And shoved them indoors
Cuffed them to the chairs
To move no more
Their faces to the floor
The stress they can't absorb
Emotions torn apart
But their mouths must remain shut
Then it took them away
And shoved them indoors
Cuffed them to the chairs
To move no more
Shaping was mandatory
They were put on the tray
And burned within the oven
’Til they hardened like a clay
So when the time came
To return to the forest
They looked with eyes unseeing
