I have silverware to come into from this bright day
I have velvet drapes, it shields from this clear and sunny day
I can feel the light bending up above those trees
When I'm out behind the porch on my knees
Inside, it's dark and and soon I will return
To having only my eyes be visible
To be an outcast because of my birds
My friends all say it's unforgivable
Unforgivable
I have cabinets to come into from this shiny place
If I ever get through bathing, I'll come in and set the plates
Tonight our friends are coming over and dining
But I'd much rather be outside, alone, and shining
If I build up the courage to go back
In just a few minutes, I was almost complete
The glasses are clean, the dishes are stacked
But it seems I forgot to push in my seat
To push in my seat
I can feel the light bending up above the trees
When I'm out behind the porch on my knees
Inside, it's dark and and soon I will return
To having only my eyes be visible
To be an outcast because of my birds
My friends all say it's unforgivable
Unforgivable
