An Untitled Masterpiece
Old man, old heart
Always looking for the time to start
Living his dreams
Too busy with his day to day
to let his dreams get in the way
or so it seems
Now he's at the end of his life
and he can't find
the dreams to bind him
to a memory
Looking back the old man feels the pain
He cries out in vain
"Where is my legacy?"
The only immortality
is found within the memories
of those who survive you
Is the fate of man etched in stone?
Can this man find resurrection?
Will he concede in resignation?
A life he did not live, a dream fades to black
Is it too late for this man to fight back?
To live in dreams long forgotten
to find his end in life, from dreams always ignored
Is it too late to find a destiny?
The man cries out in vain:
"Someone remember me!"
