Fingers on the harp-string creep
Music is a pool so deep
Feel the trembling world of sound returning
Work it with your heart and soul
Wash your face in sound and stroll
Into the ground that's always burning
So you get uncertain words
Poetry you've never heard
And you ask yourself "What is the meaning?"
At first it seems a bit obscure
But as you hear it more and more
It could be the truth to which you're learning
And all you need's a tiny clue
I say no more
To make the whole come through to you
I say ok
If a man ignores the play
Everything must be his way
Who can judge the sense in what he's saying?
Mystery embrace us all
And when we can't catch the ball
Wise or fool we all must turn to praying
