You don't want to see
The pain, and the hate and the lies before your eyes;
The suffering, the anguish, the untold misery;
The pain written on the faces of masses;
You prefer to live your life looking through rose-colored glasses.
Traveling through our everyday lives, who sees the tragedy?
Living our lives blind to all the poverty;
Children on the streets; world-wide starvation;
Living on the brink of our own annihilation;
Turning a blind eye to the world's disposition;
Each day we're slowly lulled into submission;
Indulging ourselves in life's temptations;
We've become deaf to the world's lamentations.
You, you have no idea of the thoughts that reside,
That reside deep, deep inside my mind;
If you would open your eyes you would see, then you'd be inclined
To understand my hatred, hatred for mankind
Drowning in a world obsessed with its possessions;
Living in the wealthiest of all nations;
We call out to the heavens to try to find some meaning;
What happened to your God? He isn't intervening.
Hate, I hate
I hate this world, For all the pain and I hate myself,
I hate you more, For all your lies
What are you gonna do? When the Devil brings the hate out on you?
