I have seen the face of poverty, I’ve walked the city streets
I have tread upon the mountain tops and I’ve heard the children weep
I have stood on the outside with those who are looking in
Waiting for their day the day
I have felt the healing in my hands as tears burn down my cheeks
I have felt the Spirit’s touch on me as I reach those in need
I am standing on the outside with those who are looking in
And I say your day will come
Yes, I say your day has come
There is hope, there is healing, there is freedom in this life
For the day of Jubilation has arrived
Though the night is filled with weeping there will come the sounds of joy
In the morning when justice shines
