Outside the window
The tree - a widow
observes
The virgin's bower
a former flower
seems to give up
And it's rescued by the river
that never slumbers
that's such a giver
With devotion
drags into the ocean
the pour creature
towards it's fate
Meanwhile I walk another mile
into the desert aisle
of truly vile
with a smile upon my face
Somehow I know that I might be alright
As long as I got faith
'Cause we can never bathe in the same river twice
And when I branched out I inescapably have rolled the dice
I am more than ready to face the consequence tonight
as long as I got you, my river knight
To guide my life
Through open road
Of my darkened hours
Into the sunrise of my piece of mind
I am rescued by the river
that never slumbers
that's such a giver
With devotion
drags into the ocean
this pour creature
towards my fate
