beauty - momentary,
tarnished by life.
touched by his lazarus hands
before your stem could even stand.
beauty - chastised,
by admirer's eyes.
he wanted the clandestine,
the hidden to be seen.
it's autumn again.
he breathes - you breathe.
his breath's in your lungs.
you reach - skin crawls,
it turns you inside out.
old scratch on your back,
never knew that he could stop time.
with each touch he steals
petal after petal from your heavenly flower.
beauty - dripping,
plastic recovery.
beauty - drained,
stolen faith without remorse.
now fleeting human contact,
hold his nauseous reprisal.
it wasn't meant to be this way.
