This is where it ends...
The muses sing merry melancholy
The dead ring in skeletal applause
A grand encore for fault and folly
Heartstrings clenched in malevolent claws
Dead lovers cry from their repose
In mourning them in desperate requiem
But the ink will dry for the author's prose
An ending to this story grim
This is where the curtain draws
And the orchestra drops their bows
Amid the waters of our flaws
Drowning, we bring this to a close
No hope for amends...
Each day thy life be plagued
Singing songs of sorrow and regret
Hell hath no fury like an angel sent
To join the lamenting and bereft
