Gin at night
In seaside shelters
Through sheets of blue-grey drizzle
There's gentle murmurs.
She's wearing pearl
And shells in place of ribbons
Illuminating
What is otherwise
Hidden...
No one warned me
Or even tried.
Tentacles and ocean
Debris.
A tender language
Purring 'set me free'.
And I
Watch her dance in the utter absence of all
Light
She's turning
Circles, sea waltzing in
Delight
A life of bitter
Memories
She wants to leave behind
And so we swim with hands entwined.
And so we swim to leave behind
And so she swims to leave behind
And so she swims I'm left behind
We swim to leave behind
