Come and peer into the cave
Forbidden Gate where Boic brave
Went down to save us from the grave
Our fathers sinned through avarice
The open hand became a fist
And greed: A miser’s drunkenness
The Dwarven treasure trove increased
Incessant mining roused a beast
The eldest born of fire released
Corporeal in his domain
He bound the Dwarves with heated chain
Save one, to fetch him gems, remained
The Dwarf named Boic stood his ground
Amid the flames deep underground
The fiendish voice did then resound
Puny Dwarf, what treasure, tell, DEMON
Have you brought me down to hell?
Your single hope to please me well
I went above, beyond your plane, BOIC
And thought, whatever might you gain
Since you would think of all as plain?
But there is one thing you have not, BOIC
And I have it, so I brought
My few good works, a simple lot
I am death and I am gloom DEMON
I am everlasting doom
This chamber gapes to be your tomb
And then they fought with bitter rage
A Dwarf and demon, flame encaged
One victor, One to pay the wage
Upon the beast’s back, Boic clung
And treasures round the demon hung
Boic seized a diamond like the Sun
He gripped his blacksmith’s hammer dull
To subjugate the demon’s soul
He drove the gem into its skull
I purge this mountain, hear my voice, BOIC
You shall leave, you have no choice
Free from sin, we shall rejoice
And Boic’s reign shall live a creed
Devoid of avarice and greed
Where wealth is meant to serve a need
Forbidden Gate stands at the hole
To remind us of our goal
Our wealth is found inside the soul
