Deeper in the Night
the night sets in, the sun's reign comes to an end
the veils of sorrow draws its dreadful curtain
as i stride through the cemetary of grief
evils spread their wings around my sight
walking through this barren landscape
aimlessly I wander in the endless funeral
I fall deeper in the night
sinking into the vat
of depression
the fruit so bitter
wine so aged
darkness surrounds my vision
and hatred's dust flies through the wind
soaks into my pores
smothers my skin
i can find no one
who is listening
"the evil one, satan is always on haunt
to get his claws on mankind's flesh and bone" *
in misery and apathy the vulture strikes
I won't let his deadly grip take me deeper in the night
Sabaoth! Take away this burden, for I do not want to see
the evil take it's place in me
Jehovah! I must resist and flee the temptation to dwell in my sorrow
