Blackened by fire and rubbed smooth
By the winds of ages
Thorny limbs sticky with dripping sap
The tree of life reaches into the skies
Throwing shadows across the land
At the base sits the primordial father
Waiting to take us home
Fair slayer, God of destruction
Watch as he pulls a blade from the roots
It shines as he opens his veins
Spilling his life on the ground
Sucked down to the roots below
Feeding the hope of mankind
While his blood flows
He embraces the ones who have crossed over
Light a pyre for this God of the past
He will eventually hold us all
