Green flames remain
Where once my eyes were
Constant pain as a constant reminder
There are greatest forces at work
At least mortals are more likely
To fear and respect
Such a gruesome appearance
The grim lanterns in my skull
Observe a vast amount
Of souls on the sea
Lost souls that need my guidance
But I cannot do this alone
Am I really to grovel
Before a commoner floating on wood?
It appears that I'm not above
The vice and virtues of men
Ironic that the bringer of death
Leader of souls
Is locked behind
The door of humility
